TOUR DE FRANCE — CLOSING CEREMONY DRONE SHOW

For the 111th edition of the Tour de France, the race concluded in Nice for the first time, marked by a large-scale drone and pyrotechnic show staged over the Baie des Anges.

The aerial performance featured 1,500 illuminated drones choreographed alongside fireworks, forming a sequence of animated images celebrating the history of the Tour de France and the cultural landmarks of Nice.

ON THE SLY worked as musical directors, creating the soundtrack and music mix that accompanied the aerial choreography. The soundtrack was structured to support the visual narrative as it moved between cycling imagery, city references and celebratory moments marking both the arrival of the Tour and the 200th anniversary of the city of Nice.

Working closely with Dronisos and the wider creative team, the music and sound design were developed to align precisely with the evolving formations in the sky, allowing drones, pyrotechnics and soundtrack to unfold as a single coordinated spectacle.

The result was a striking closing moment for one of the world’s most iconic sporting events, combining aerial technology, fireworks and music to celebrate the arrival of the Tour de France in Nice.

ON THE SLY creates music direction and soundtracks for fireworks and drone shows around the world.
