THE HUNDRED WALK-ON ANTHEM

CRICKET STADIUM LAUNCH, 2021

The Hundred launched in 2021 as a new format for cricket, combining elite sport with large-scale stadium entertainment and a bold new visual and sonic identity.

Working with Progress Productions, ON THE SLY created the original walk-on drum anthem used across the competition’s opening season. Played live in stadiums as players entered the field to fireworks and crowd reaction, the track became one of the defining sounds of the new tournament.

The music was designed to cut through a packed stadium environment, building anticipation as teams entered the field and setting the tone for the competition’s high-energy presentation.

The result was a distinctive musical moment that helped introduce The Hundred to audiences across its first season, establishing a recognisable stadium sound for the new format.

This project forms part of ON THE SLY’s wider work creating music and sound design for live broadcast, stadium entertainment and large-scale public events.
