BBC RADIO 1SUMMER MIXES
ON THE SLY created the music mixes for BBC Radio 1’s Summer Mixes, developing curated tracklists into continuous mixes broadcast daily across the network.
Working closely with the BBC Radio 1 music team, each mix was edited and blended into a seamless piece, combining transitions, harmonic mixing and occasional mashups to maintain flow across each show.
The mixes covered a range of genres and moods, from pop and R&B to dance, indie and chilled selections, designed to accompany different moments across the day and night throughout the summer.
Used on air and online, the mixes formed a repeatable format within the Radio 1 schedule, giving listeners a consistent way to engage with the station’s output during the summer period.
This project forms part of ON THE SLY’s wider work creating music-led content for broadcast and radio programming.
