December 2025 marked a historic moment in competitive gaming as the Red Bull Tetris World Finals took over Dubai’s iconic Dubai Frame, transforming it into the world’s largest playable Tetris game. We were brought on board to oversee and direct all core musical elements of this groundbreaking event, helping bring the creative and technical vision to life.

A Global Tournament Final Played in the Sky

In a global first for gaming and technology, the match was played live in the sky using two fleets of drones – with every Tetrimino appearing in real-time through the Dubai Frame.

The event was the culmination of a massive global tournament that attracted over 7 million mobile qualifiers from 60 countries, and the final show brought together a 26-piece orchestra, DJ, fireworks, drones, screens and a lightshow. Along with 2 base jumpers opening the show.

Electronic vs Orchestra: A Musical Battle

Throughout the final night proceedings – from the opening ceremony, through gameplay to the closing ceremony – we directed the music team, which featured the renowned Firdaus Orchestra and producer El Waili performing reimagined versions of the classic Tetris theme. Mirroring the head-to-head battle between the two finalists on screen, the musical performance itself became a live sonic duel – electronic versus orchestral, digital versus live – creating an epic dimension to an already unprecedented spectacle that married cutting-edge technology with live musical artistry.
