McLaren Racing celebrated their Formula 1 Constructors’ Championship victory at the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix with a large-scale drone show staged as part of the podium celebrations.

ON THE SLY created the soundtrack for the show, working with SKYMAGIC to translate the team’s championship moment into a shared visual and musical celebration.

The brief was to capture the high-energy spirit of Formula 1 while remaining tightly aligned with the McLaren Racing brand. The score fused driving electronic music with rock elements, calibrated to the rhythm and movement of the drone choreography.

Built with a clear sense of progression, the music intensified as the aerial animation unfolded, reaching its peak as the word CHAMPIONS appeared across the night sky. A bespoke vocal refrain, written to reinforce the championship narrative, anchored the moment of climax and celebration.

The project demonstrates how music, technology and brand storytelling can come together to create a focused, high-impact moment at the highest level of international motorsport.
