ON THE SLY developed the audio for a digitally led exhibition presented in Barcelona as part of the VIBE project.

Active Activism Act (AAA) was conceived as a pilot cultural installation exploring new forms of immersive exhibition design, bringing together audio, visual art and digital technology within a single environment. The exhibition was presented physically in Barcelona while also being made accessible digitally to a global audience.

Our role focused on designing a multi-channel audio environment that supported the themes and structure of the installation. Working closely with the wider creative and venue teams, we developed layered sound design that carried voices, ideas and narrative fragments across the space, allowing sound to move between abstract texture and spoken content.

The audio helped shape how visitors experienced the exhibition, reinforcing its intent as a contemporary cross-platform cultural installation and supporting a multi-sensory approach to storytelling.

The result was an immersive exhibition environment in which sound connected the different creative elements of the installation while guiding the audience experience through the space.
